We’re looking for a highly motivated, career-minded certified public accountant to act as a trusted advisor to law firm clients, leading the most complex accounting, tax, and financial advisory engagements. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to client management. You will play a critical role in driving client success while contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation. Responsibilities: • Bookkeeping: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial transactions • Establish how effectively we’re converting sales to income by forecasting revenue and analyzing our profit margin • Conduct internal auditing • Provide counsel on organizational strategic planning and budget • Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of comprehensive tax plans and strategies for law firm clients. • Review and approve financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations prepared by team members. • Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to help clients improve profitability, reduce tax liability, and enhance cash flow. • Manage the most complex three-way trust account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with IOLTA regulations. • Oversee and advise on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for clients. • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify new service opportunities and develop client-focused solutions. • Lead training sessions and provide mentorship to junior accountants and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. • Represent the firm in client consultations, industry events, and networking opportunities to drive client retention and acquisition. • Establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure the business runs smoothly. Qualifications: • Successfully completed the uniform CPA examination by the AICPA and hold CPA certification that complies with the state board of accountancy regulations • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 6+ years of accounting experience, with expertise in tax preparation, tax planning, and legal trust accounting. • CPA designation required. • Advanced proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Drake, Lacerte) and legal practice management tools. • Proven leadership and client management skills, with the ability to lead complex engagements and develop strong client relationships. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Please do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the above qualifications.
