We are currently searching for a Chief Engineer for the Travelodge/ Penny's Diner of Green River, WY Why Work With Us? * It’s a fun company to work for! * We recognize efforts and reward results * Great benefits package, including 401K * Promotional opportunities with a growing company Responsibilities * Oversee building maintenance to ensure guest and employee safety * Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems * Develop and maintain preventive maintenance and room care programs * Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate work orders and repairs * Handle minor repairs and renovation projects (carpentry, painting, furniture setup) * Maintain pools, grounds, tools, and equipment, including chemical levels and safety standards * Monitor energy usage and implement conservation efforts * Inspect property daily and report major needs to the General Manager * Maintain key inventory and assist with administrative tasks as needed Requirements: * Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on time * Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required * Need to be a team player – if you like to work on an island by yourself, this won’t be a good fit for you! * Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly * Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure * Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary * Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests * Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions Education & Experience: * At least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment at the Engineer or Chief Engineer level required * HVAC certified, Pool certified, Technician certified and/or combination preferred * High School diploma or equivalent required * Stable work history required HMC is an equal opportunity employer.
