Job Title: Cisco ASA / Network Security Engineer
Location: US (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cisco ASA / Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and high-performance Cisco network environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA/Firepower), and VPN technologies. You will ensure network availability, optimize performance, and support mission-critical applications while collaborating with cross-functional technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls (ASA/Firepower), and VPNs.

  • Configure and maintain Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS devices, performing regular updates and optimizations.

  • Integrate Cisco solutions with other technologies to ensure secure and reliable application delivery.

  • Monitor and optimize LAN/WAN performance and network reliability.

  • Propose and implement system enhancements to improve network performance and security.

  • Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution across Cisco platforms.

  • Collaborate with network, security, and systems teams to achieve shared objectives.

  • Develop technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles for network operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with Cisco products.

  • Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, ASA/Firepower firewalls, and VPN technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certifications: CCNP or higher (CCIE strongly preferred).

  • F5 Certification: F5-CA or F5-CTS.

  • DoD Certification: IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
