Our client is a well-established developer of senior living centers and is searching for an on-site Construction Project Superintendent to act as the owner's representative on completion of a major construction project in central San Diego. This is a temporary role, lasting 2-3 months, however may lead to a longer term opportunity.

Position: Project Superindentent
Schedule: M-F 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Type: Salaried, Exempt
Pay: $90-$110/year equivalent
The ideal Superintendent will be in charge for all on site work that is performed and enjoys working normally in field conditions. They will manage sub-contractors, schedule, material deliveries/protection, and safety while ensuring that the project is built within budget and timelines. They will need to be a self-starter and team player who will work closely with Project Manager and/or with the home office team.
Additional requirements for this Superintendent role:
• Extensive Multi-Level Construction Experience – Wood construction, parking structures, commercial kitchens, rated wall assemblies, and elevator installations, etc.
• Project & Schedule Management – Proficient in subcontractor coordination, daily pre-task meetings, foreman and safety meetings, 3 Week look-ahead schedules, building inspections, manpower and sub-trade resources and issuing detailed schedules using Microsoft Project
• Blueprint & Documentation Expertise – Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and building codes. Experienced with GA assemblies, fire-stop systems, and civil site work including all utilities and coordination.
• Effective Communication & Problem-Solving – Skilled in managing diverse personalities, diffusing conflicts, and ensuring productive, safe job sites. Regularly updates municipalities on project impacts and regularly provides updates and status reports to Project Manager.
• Build and manage with 3 week look ahead and production deadlines.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in industry software (MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore) etc.
• Excellent time management, communication and organization.
• Work with home office IT to ensure proper installation and coordination of access control, nurse call systems, and data information requirements.
• Properly manage inventory deliveries, materials, and storage requirements.
