Die-Cast Maintenance Assistant Associate

Fredericktown, OH

Position summary: Support in all aspects for daily Die-Cast operations excluding welding. Responsibilities include but not limited to: troubleshooting, PM activities, repair "all types", production support, machine downtime solutions, machine efficiency improvements, die rebuild, component part rebuild work "all types", and all other die-cast support activities as needed. Key Responsibilities :

• Support any activities of Die Cast Maintenance Associate
• Work closely with die-cast members to complete job assignments in a timely manner
• Support production with planned/unplanned work activities as assigned
• Support all type of machine breakdown repairs including hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatics, electrical
• Support die repairs, die rebuilds, troubleshooting and all other activities assigned
• Work directly with Die-Cast Maintenance Team Leader for die-cast downtime/efficiency improvements
• Participate in shift meeting and other meetings assigned
• Participate in all training activities as required to improve and master job duties assigned
• Perform robot recovery and support robot training activities when requested
• Support removal and installation of Die-Cast equipment
• Support new model activities as assigned
• Demonstrate good communication skills for shift pass down information including die-cast machine daily performance, machine breakdown follow up
• All other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications :

1. Education

• Technical High School Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education.

1. Experience

• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience utilizing team based problem solving techniques.

1. Computer Skills

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Plex

1. Personal/Other Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge mechanical systems.
• Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
• Must be self-starter who can work well with people at all levels while displaying a positive can-do approach/attitude.
• Understand technical drawings including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and ladder logic.
• Knowledge of the work areas covered.
• Good time management skills and discipline to self-prioritize daily activities.

1. Travel Requirement

• Minimal travel required.
