Job Description
Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant clinical/technical application experience in lieu of a degree, strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of prior experience with clinical information systems or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Epic certification/accreditation/self-proficiency preferred (may be required to obtain certification in relevant application within the first 6 months of employment)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities and capability to work independently or as part of a team

- Collaborate with Clinical Informatics colleagues to advance strategic goals for the department and CHRISTUS Health
- Work with colleagues to standardize best practice workflow processes and clinical content, promoting patient safety
- Engage with technical teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related concerns affecting clinical applications
- Develop, test, implement, and maintain assigned clinical applications and business processes to meet operational needs
- Communicate effectively with others, both individually and in group settings
- Understand clinical practices in relation to the integration of health information systems and their effects on end-users
- Report compliance issues related to clinical information systems and properly escalate concerns
- Provide ongoing support to end users during upgrades, new releases, and enhanced functionalities
- Assist in communicating system changes and new functionalities to clinical end users
- Cultivate relationships with leadership across various ministries to ensure effective communication and compliance with business requirements
- Prioritize and implement updates and changes to clinical information systems
- Offer friendly and courteous customer service at all times
- May require extended hours during critical incidents
- Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Conduct thorough analysis of workflows and technical issues associated with clinical information systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve application concerns, escalating complex issues as necessary
- Identify new opportunities and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks and projects
- Maintain relationships with end user leadership and address conflicts proactively
- Provide organized status reports on significant project areas for communication to stakeholders
- Offer insights and recommendations based on application/system analysis in assigned areas
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise while improving knowledge of application areas beyond assigned modules
- Periodically assess and refine personal skills, work habits, and behaviors in a collaborative manner
- Manage medium complexity projects while collaborating with team members as necessary
- Perform working level process analysis, including requirement elicitation and stakeholder analysis to deliver cross-team solutions
