Job Description
As an Immigration Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with our attorneys to prepare and manage cases involving family-based petitions, adjustment of status, employment visas, humanitarian relief (asylum, VAWA, U visa), and consular processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about helping clients achieve stability and certainty in the United States.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize legal documents for immigration petitions and applications.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, filings, and client correspondence.
• Conduct legal and factual research on immigration laws and procedures.
• Communicate with clients to collect required information and keep them informed about case progress.
• Manage and maintain digital and physical case files.
• Ensure all filings meet USCIS, EOIR, and NVC deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Support attorneys in hearings, interviews, and legal brief preparation.
• Conduct client intakes and interviews as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in immigration law (family-based, humanitarian, or employment-based).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software (e.g., eImmigration, Docketwise, LawLogix).
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English; bilingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive client information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
