Job Description

Position Summary:

The Lead Furniture Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering, installing, and handling furniture at customer locations while leading a delivery team and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to represent the company professionally on every job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load, transport, unload, and install furniture at residential and commercial sites
• Plan delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines
• Inspect furniture before and after delivery to ensure quality and accuracy
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing questions or concerns on-site
• Ensure proper handling of furniture to prevent damage to products and property
• Complete delivery paperwork, photos, and documentation as required
• Train and mentor delivery team members on best practices and safety procedures
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus, if applicable)
• Previous furniture delivery, moving, or logistics experience required
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy furniture (often 75+ lbs)
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting, bending, carrying, and standing
• Ability to work in various environments, including warehouses, job sites, and customer locations
