Job Description

The task is to maintain the equipment in the Mill. Prioritization is done by the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment

· Troubleshooting system failures

· Testing of electrical systems

· Perform preventive maintenance to mechanical and electrical devices

· Repair broken or faulty machine parts

· Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical & electrical systems including PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals, gears, chains, sprockets, pipes, pumps, gear boxes.

· Execute appropriate lubrication of mechanical systems

· Provide support for emergency or unplanned mechanical repairs

· Troubleshoot basic to complex mechanical and electrical issues

· Record and submit accurate work order data and parts usage using the CMMS

Skills Required:

· Proven work experience as a mechanic and an electrician

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in reading and comprehension of equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams, blueprints

· Able to stick and tig weld

· Able to pull wire/splice wire/connect electrical devices

· Able to use cutting tools such as plasma cuter and oxy torch

· Operate equipment such as forklifts and bobcat

· Is self-directed and can work independently

· Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
