Job Title: Patient Care Associate
Location: Ashburn, VA 20148
Job Type: 26 Weeks (extendable)
Shift: 8:50 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $25/hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a caring and reliable Patient Care Associate to support the health and well-being of students in a school-based setting. This role involves working closely with the school nurse to provide first aid, monitor chronic health conditions, and maintain accurate student health documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic healthcare support to students and staff under the supervision of the school nurse.
Monitor and assist students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, allergies, seizures, etc.).
Administer first aid and assist in emergencies.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health needs and concerns.
Support individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency action plans (EAPs).
Assist with health screenings and routine health checks.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards, immunization requirements, and school health policies.
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote overall student well-being.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of healthcare-related experience.
