Job Title: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Work Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift timing: Variable shift (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts)

Requirement: RN license, BLS and Endoscopy experience

Job Description:

Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
Perform accurate patient assessments and document findings in the EMR (EPIC experience preferred).
Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to established protocols.
Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
Provide recovery room care, including monitoring vital signs and post-procedure education.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment consistent with hospital policies.
Respond promptly to emergencies and demonstrate sound clinical judgment in critical situations.
Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Current New York State RN License and Registration (must be active and in good standing).
BLS certification required, with ability to maintain recertification.
Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital.
Previous endoscopy and recovery room experience preferred.
EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred.
