Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist with scheduling and keeping medical, dental and other appointments necessary for the well-being and quality of life for agency clients.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule, and as needed, transport and escort clients to medical, dental, therapeutic appointments, evaluations, family visits, to foster homes, court hearings or for recreation purposes as it relates to the family’s case plan.
- Provide basic information for clients and the community.
- Assist clients and/or families with routine daily activities of living, such as home care and management, meal planning, budgeting, childcare and training.
- Advise technical and professional social service staff to clients’ needs and progress in meeting established goals and objectives.
- Pick up and delivers equipment, clothing and other belongings of clients, or other materials as required.
- Delivers documents, medications, supplies, etc, to clients and to professionals.
- Supervise children during office visits and in crisis situations in the homes/or office when needed.
- Supervise the interaction of children and family members and provide observations to agency staff for written reports.
- Perform routine clerical duties, such as pick up, delivery and opening of mail; filing, answering the telephone; taking and relaying messages, researching information, scanning, typing, copying, folding, stuffing and stamping mail and simple posting.
- Maintain order of waiting and visiting rooms, including Lafayette House visitation facility
- Prepare reports on assignments involving a transport, supervised visit or task.
- Maintain the supply of car seat restraints. Monitor their condition and expiration dates.
- Schedule and arranges for maintenance needs of agency fleet vehicles.
- Maintain the cleanliness of agency vehicles with routine car washes.
- Enters data into CAPS system.
- Organizing and monitoring the supplies for visitation rooms at the agency and at the Lafayette House.
- Shopping for supplies needed for agency training seminars, meetings, etc.
- Angel Tree gift giving program; and acquiring other donations for clients.
- Training of agency caseworkers on proper usage of child safety seats.
- Attend training seminars as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from high school or its equivalency; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Ability to perform simple office procedures.
- Ability to maintain and complete records.
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public.
- Must have valid, current Pennsylvania driver’s license.
