Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at a growing public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and client advisory services. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base across industries, lead engagements, and mentor junior staff. Why work here? - + Work life balance! 40-hour work weeks with maximum 45-50 during the height of tax season. + Opportunity for partnership track + Growing organically and through acquisition Key Responsibilities: + Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. + Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients. + Research and resolve complex tax issues and stay current on tax law changes. + Lead client engagements and maintain strong client relationships. + Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants and senior associates. + Assist in business development efforts and contribute to firm growth. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. + Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to provide integrated client service. Requirements Qualifications: + CPA license required. + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; + 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax. + Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations. + Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. + Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
