Electro‑Mechanical Reliability Mechanic

  • Pay: $37.88–$43.27/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
  • Shifts: 2nd (Tue–Sat) or 3rd (Sun–Thu). With tenure, Mon–Fri may become available.

  • Own high‑impact troubleshooting on AC/DC systems, PLC‑controlled equipment, and 480V 3‑phase motors
  • Apply multi‑craft know‑how across pneumatics, hydraulics, control valves, and pumps (centrifugal/positive displacement)
  • Use the right instruments—volt‑ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope—to pinpoint root causes
  • Fabricate and repair using lathes, mills, and arc/Heliarc® welding
  • Leverage preventive maintenance systems and work order tracking to drive uptime

What you’ll do

  • Respond quickly to maintenance calls and complete in‑progress repairs as needed
  • Diagnose issues using schematics and task lists; execute corrective actions
  • Inspect equipment, draft near‑term and long‑term repair plans, and return assets to peak performance
  • Restore production/facilities equipment after failures with urgency and care
  • Share knowledge—coach less experienced mechanics through complex work

Work environment

Large manufacturing spaces with loud equipment and limited temperature control; indoor conditions vary with seasons/weather. Tasks and hours can shift based on area needs.

Minimum requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Available for weekends and holidays
  • Lift 15–50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Stand/walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfort working around extreme temps, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces

Preferred background

  • Electrical certification, technical schooling, manufacturing maintenance, and/or welding experience
  • Strong base in mechanical/electrical repair and multi‑discipline troubleshooting
  • Preferred: ~2+ years in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing setting
