Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra is one of Honolulu's largest and most iconic hotels, offering over 1,100 rooms, multiple F&B outlets, a pool and fitness centre, and extensive meeting and event facilities. The property has recently undergone a major refurbishment and now seeks an experienced General Manager to lead its next chapter.

Job Description

As General Manager, you will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership for a high-volume, multi-tower hotel. You will be accountable for driving financial performance, elevating the guest experience, developing a strong leadership team, and fostering trusted relationships with the Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) board, owners, corporate stakeholders, tenants, Union and local partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full operational, commercial, and financial performance of a major hotel asset
- Deliver outstanding guest satisfaction, service excellence, and adherence to brand standards
- Oversee all operating departments, including Rooms, Engineering, F&B (two outlets), large scale Conference and Events, and facilities management
- Navigate complex relationships with the Union, AOAO board, commercial tenants, and multi-stakeholder environments
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, revenue strategy, and cost optimisation initiatives for both hotel operations and the Owners Association
- Build and manage strong owner, board, corporate and union relationships with clear, transparent communication
- Oversee CAPEX planning, refurbishment projects, and long-term asset protection across multiple towers
- Champion a high-performing, inclusive, people-focused culture within a unionised environment

About You
We are seeking an experienced hospitality leader with:
- Proven General Manager experience in a large, complex hotel (500+ rooms preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue and delivering profitability
- Experience working with AOAO boards, commercial tenants, and complex or condo-hotel ownership structures
- Exceptional people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment with high guest expectations
