When you join our Mobile Solutions team, you’ll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community who support each other working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. You’ll be paired with a mentor to help support you as an integral part of our design team.
As an RFIC Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of Si/SOI RFICs for mobile handset applications.

• BS + 12 years experience, MSEE + 8 years experience or PhD EE + 5 years experience
• Transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design knowledge
• Good understanding on device physics
• Ability to use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of devices and circuits
• Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge
• Utilize simulation tools, analog, and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment
• Good communication skills, be able to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills
• Strong understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability and Electromagnetic theory
• Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack up/laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), LNA, RF switch design or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler and balun
• Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Cadence Virtuoso design environment, Keysight ADS, 2.5/3D EM tools such as EMX/Momentum, HFSS/CST and ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance
• Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $129,400 - $247,800 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
