Job Description We are seeking a skilled Systems Test Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining project test strategies, specifications, and plans. This role involves contributing to the design and build of a test automation suite for daily product testing, executing test plans and cases, and collaborating with development engineers to resolve hardware and software defects. This is a hybrid opportunity. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain project test strategies, specifications, and plans. + Contribute to the design and build of a test automation suite for rigorous daily product testing. + Execute test plans and test cases both manually and using test automation. + Report hardware and software defects and collaborate with development engineers to debug and correct them. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical training with 3+ years of related experience. + 3 or more years of experience in WAN/LAN/OLAN testing or equivalent technical training and education. + Working experience with Networking (OSI model and protocols) focusing on L2 (e.g., LLDP, xSTP, ACLs, MAB, 802.1x). + Participation in automated test development with a preference for using Quali Systems Cloudshell/Testshell automation development tools. + Expertise in Python programming language and script generation. + Hands-on experience using traffic generators such as IXIA or Spirent Test Center. + networking automation + IXIA Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong technical, analytical, and testing skills. + Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. + Fast learner who can quickly assimilate product knowledge and testing environments to add immediate value. + Knowledge of overlaying GPON, XGPON, and NGPON services onto a single fiber is beneficial. Work Environment The work environment involves using advanced networking automation tools and technologies, with a focus on rigorous testing processes. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration within a dynamic team setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
