Job Description

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is working with a well-established General Contractor in the Philadelphia, PA area to find an experienced Project Manager .  This is a permanent, full-time position overseeing ground-up and fit-out projects from award to closeout with minimal travel required since most projects are within a reasonable commute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all phases of assigned construction projects.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Estimate, negotiate, and track change orders.
  • Manage project budgets and approve expenses.
  • Handle contract administration and subcontractor/equipment buyouts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and oversee closeout documentation.
  • Conduct punch-list inspections alongside superintendents and owner representatives.
  • Foster strong client relationships to secure repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects of at least $5M.
  • Strong mix of ground up and fit out experience.
  • Project experience related to commercial, retail, healthcare and multi-family is preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish timelines, budgets, and negotiate change orders.
  • Strong multi-tasking and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-discipline team meetings effectively.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in construction or a related field is preferred but not required—strong industry experience will be highly considered.

  • Anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 annually.  As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
