The First Alumni meet of The Lepra India Trust was held on the 27th of April, 2019 at the Office premises of The Lepra India Trust at 11 AM.
49 Alumni attended the event.
Students who underwent training in computers, beauty Tailoring and Tally participated in the event. All of them registered at the Registration counter on arrival and were given an Adidas backpack each.
All the staff of the Trust participated enthusiastically in organising the event. Shri. Navin Chawla (Founder and Vice President), Capt. Soota (Treasurer) and Ms. Mrinalini Chawla (Trustee) also graced the occasion.
It was a very interactive session where the ex-students of various courses provided at the Trust, shared their experience and how the courses have enhanced their skills to find a suitable job. Many of them shared how the soft skill in English and Theatre classes have helped them to improve their communication skills and self confidence to speak unhesitatingly in various job interviews. They all praised the staff and the environment of the Trust.
Of the 49 attended some of them had multiple training at TLIT. It was interesting to see that more girls spoke at the event than the boys. 17 of them are working of which one is self employed, 4 among them are working at TLIT and others are working elsewhere, while 23 are still studying.
7 are unemployed and one of them is a housewife.
Of the 48 participated 30 were Females and 18 were males.
